Trekking
Season
The season lasts from late September to late May. The monsoon starts in
early June. From June to early September we recommend only monsoon shadowed
areas, such as Dolpo and Mustang. The peak hours are October, November and
from late March to May. The ideal time to altitudes over 5,000 m ahead. From
January to mid February, it is still quite cold in the high altitude, at
least after sunset, but ideal for light lodge trekking, because the weather
is quite dry and it usually provides a wonderfully clear view of the sun
shining on the ice giant. In the valleys (Kathmandu, Pokhara), it is a
pleasantly warm spring term (19-20 °C). Spring begins around mid-February. |
