On new Trails through the Himalayas
- away from the main trekking paths -

You may not want to follow the same way as others do, rather prefer the solitude and want to experience the proximity to the local population and their culture on your own approach. If you discover new things and want to learn about what goes beyond the usual, then this could be accommodated while scheduling your tour proposal. Trekking areas far away from the standard Annapurna, Langtang and Khumbu routes, however, always require a little more flexibility, whether about the flights, camping areas or weather conditions. Seasonal availability of water also matters. But we promise to offer a bigger adventure and a higher value for your travel experience.

Again, in these tours, we match with your personal and temporal preference. Basically, a licensed and experienced guide accompanies you. He/she informs you in detail about everything worth-knowing and also accommodates your special requests, such as an extra day off, a small detour to an interesting point to visit or just relax. Your main luggage as well as the necessary camping equipment is carried by friendly and helpful porters.

Lodge Trekking (for persons travelling alone, too)

You stay in local guest houses (lodges, Teahouses) which have already been checked by us and which we choose according to strict quality criteria. The selected trekking routes run primarily on trade routes offering magnificent views of village cultures and farming landscapes e.g. Annapurna, Khumbu (Everest region), Langtang etc.

The weather conditions may vary depending on the seasonal phenomenon. In winter, at altitudes of 3.000 m, the temperature falls below the freezing point. This happens mainly at night and snow is possible. Altitudes over 5,000 m should not be underestimated, even if no technical prerequisites are required. Some days are needed for the acclimatization at altitudes of 3.000 m.

Camping Trekking (min. 2 persons)

It does not necessarily follow the normal trekking routes and schedules. Trekkers spend nights in tents which are fixed in conducive areas. Thus, this kind of trekking offers a wider coverage of tours. The complete camping equipments like tents, kitchen equipment, mattresses, table/chairs, etc.  will be provided by us. Your support team will comprise of highly trained guides, cooks, sherpas, kitchen boys and porters. Areas are e.g.: Annapurna, Dhaulagiri, Dolpo, Ganesh, Jumla, Kanchanjunga, Khumbu (Everest region), Langtang and Mustang.

Food
Diverse varieties of foods, including the Nepalese cuisine, are available on trek. In Lodge trekking, lodges and restaurants offer different kinds of food whereas in camping trekking, our cooks, having extra ordinary culinary skills, make food to the taste of our valued trekkers. Special requests are, as far as possible, taken into account. Food provision basically includes breakfast, lunch and dinner. Additionally, tea and coffee are served. During the camping trek, fruits are also part of the nutrition (as far as the availability is given).

Season
The trekking season is from late September to late May. In Nepal, monsoon period is from June to early September. Only monsoon shadowed areas such as Dolpo and Mustang are recommended in summer. The high seasons are October, November and from late March to mid May. They are .ideal for altitudes of around 5,000 m to 6,000 m.. From January to mid February, it is quite cold in trekking areas at an altitude of around 3,500 m because the night temperatures drop below the freezing point and hence, camping trips are not appropriate. However, lodge trekking is recommended as far as weather seems quite clear. This would be the best time for a cultural trip especially in the terai (Chitwan, Lumbini), too. In valleys like Kathmandu, Pokhara, the weather during spring is pleasant.
