Everest Classical Trekking

Mt. Everest is famous not only for its proximity to the world's highest mountain (8,848 m) but also for its Sherpa Villages and Monasteries. It takes three weeks to start the trekking from Jiri and fly back from Lukla. Walking to and from Everest Base Camp takes at least one month to complete the trekking. Many trekkers find the walk to Everest better then the destination itself. The Everest trekking areas offer a visit to the homeland of the Sherpas, a chance to get close to the highest mountain in the world, as well as the feeling in one that of surrounded by peaks.This trek starts as following.


Everest Classical Trekking Itineraries
Day 01.
Kathmandu to Jiri (1,905 m) - Drive Kathmandu to Jiri by bus; on the way to Jiri one can view the beautiful mountains, terraced fields and the Crystalline beauty of Sun Koshi (River of Gold).
Day 02.
Jiri to Deurali (3,000 m) - Climbing towards Mali about 1 hrs and descend to Shivalaya about the same duration then diagonally up to Deurali about 3 hrs.
Day 03: Deurali to Sete (2,575 m) - Straight downs to Thado Khola and walk through river valley to Kinja then, up to Sete.

Day 04.
Sete to Junbeshi (2,675 m) - The trail goes upwards to Lamjura pass (3,500 m) The first view points of Everest and descends to Junbesi for about 3 hrs. From where one can see good views of mountain Gaurishankar, Number Himal and Dudh Kunda.
Day 05
Junbeshi to Noonthala (2,194 m) - Walk up standing trail about 2 hrs to Solung then descend to Ringmo Khola and up to Taksindo pass after wards descend to Noonthala.
Day 06
Noonthala to Khari Khola (2,072 m) - The descend continues to Dudh Koshi (River of Milk) and ascend to Khari Khola walking through several Sherpa villages, terraced fields and forest.
Day 07
Khari Khola Phuiyan (2,835 m) - Ascend towards Phuiyan through a Sherpa village and a forest inhabited by monkeys.
Day 08
Phuiyan to Phakding (2,652 m) - With a slight climbs for about an hour to a ridge at 2,800 meters then up to another ridge then climb again another 15 minutes to a junction and again towards Phakding.
Day 09
Phakding to Namche Bazaar (3,446 m) - With a alight climb to Jorsalle, pass a waterfall along this part of the trail villages and interpreted with magnificent forest and Rhododendron, Mongolia and Giant Firs then walk unto Namche Bazaar. (3,446 m)
Day 10
Rest at Namche Bazaar for acclimatization.
Day 11
Namche Bazaar to Tengboche (3,867 m) - A steep one-hour climb to Syangboche provides excellent views of Mt. Everest and Amadablam. Then descend to Punki Thanka via Khumjung, then the trial climbs a gradual ascend through forest up to the saddle on which Tenboche Monastery sits at 3,867 meters. The best view of Mt. Everest (8,848 m), Nuptse (7,855 m) Lhotse, Ama Dablin, Thamsherku can be seen from here. Then after visit the largest Monastery at Tengboche in Khumbu region.
Day 12
Tengboche to Pheriche (4,252 m) - A short step to Devuche through a forest of Birches, Conifers and Rhododendrons then ascend to Pangboche through the forest and carved Mani stones at 3,860 meters. Then the route enters through Dingboche to Pheriche.
Day 13
Rest at Pheriche for acclimatization - If one wishes to do some strenuous exploring one could climb Nangkartsang Gompa or a day hike to Chhukung.
Day 14
Pheriche to Lobuche (4,930 m) - The trails ascends the broad gently sloping valley land climbs steeply into the terminal moraine of the Khumbu Glaciers then crosses the bridge and climbs higher on the moraine to a row of stone's Monuments in memory of six Sherpa who died in an avalanche at Louched at 4,930 meters.
Day 15
Loubche to Kala Pattar (5,545 m) and back to Gorakshep (5,151 m) - This trail gives a good view of Pumori. This section of the trek provides goods views of the Everest Group from Grakshep and Kala Pattar.
Day 16
Gorakkshep to Everest Base Camp and Loubche - Everest Base Camp is the main camp for the Mountaineers situated at the elevation of 5,245 meters. The trekkers feel very happy to reach as it makes them a life time memories for their adventurous fulfill
Day 17
Loubche to Dingbooche
Day 18
Dingboche to Tengboche.
Day 19
Tengboche to Namche Bazaar
Day 20
Namche Bazaar to Phagding
Day 21
Phagding to Lukla
Day22
Lukla to Kathmandu by flight.
